How you’ll make an impact:
As the Manager, Human Resources Business Leader you will function as an expert on people and organizational issues while also acting as a catalyst in delivering HR solutions in order to attract, develop, and retain talent and to support the specific needs of the business groups and overall business objectives.
This role will specifically focus on delivering HR leadership and business process development to a unique network of employees who operate our manufacturing plants.
This role in onsite full time and can be based in Irvine, CA or Draper, UT.
Provide HRBP leadership by partnering with HR and Business Management to align business strategy and objectives with talent strategy in assigned client groups.
Assess, anticipate and deliver HR-related needs or programs with minimum oversight
Provide HR leadership and oversight for various aspects of the organization's HR programs
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations that require judgment and risk management in alignment with EW policies and practices, extending to circumstances where policies and practices are not clear. Partner with the legal department as needed/required.
Consult, advise, influence and partner with leadership on talent strategies and actions to build an engaged and high-performing organization.
Partner closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning in partnership with Business leaders and HR Management
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
Develop partnerships across the HR function to assist in the delivery of value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
May participate in special projects with guidance from HR Management or Senior HR Professionals
Participate in the interview/selection of talent in assigned client groups and perform compensation analysis to drive competitive offers
Analyze complex trends and metrics in partnership with the client group(s), COE's or Shared Services to develop solutions, programs and policies.

What you’ll need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related fields and 8+ years of experience in Human Resources
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior experience creating strategic plans, setting up business processes, and collaborating with leaders across various functions.

Experience operating in a complex matrixed environment
Extensive understanding of related aspects of human resources processes and/or systems
Prior work in the medical device industry
Proven successful project management skills
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
Ability to interact professionally with, provide strong HR leadership to, and influence change with all organizational levels while building and maintaining strong relationships
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including influencing, consultative, and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
Extensive knowledge of own area within the organization while contributing to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards
Extensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
Extensive knowledge of local and federal employment laws within own area
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Strict attention to detail
Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and human resources systems
Represents leadership on sections of projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and human resources team
Consult in project setting within specific sections of human resources area
Provides human resources leadership to outsourcing partners on a task level
Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California, the base pay range for this position is $102,000 to $145,000 (highly experienced).
