Description
The Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) team is looking for a passionate, talented, and inventive Applied Scientist with a strong deep learning background, to build industry-leading Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technology with Large Language Models (LLMs) and multimodal systems.
Key job responsibilities
As an Applied Scientist with the AGI team, you will work with talented peers to develop novel algorithms and modeling techniques to advance the state of the art of multi-modal LLMs and speech recognition technology. Your work will directly impact our customers in the form of products and services that make use of speech and language technology. You will leverage Amazon’s heterogeneous data sources and large-scale computing resources to accelerate advances in conversational AI.
About the team
Our team builds multimodal foundation models for a wide range of applications in speech and audio domain. We partner with other teams to achieve state-of-the-art performance in speech technologies. We support product teams to deliver innovative conversational AI solutions to a broad set of customers and use cases.
Basic Qualifications
PhD, or a Master's degree and experience in CS, CE, ML or related field
Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in professional software development
Do you have experience in building speech recognition, machine translation and natural language processing systems (e.g., commercial speech products or government speech projects)?
