Workers employed under this Temporary job order is for 49-9098 Helper, Installation, Maintenance and Repair workers and SCO 47-3019 Helpers Construction. Workers will work under the direct supervisor of a supervisor. Duties performed SOC 49-9098 Helper; Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Workers Under the direct supervisor of a master mechanic workers will perform various duties associated with assisting with the maintenance and repair of farm equipment. Service farm equipment due to our maintenance schedule. Repair farm equipment that breaks, bends or tears. Use of hand tools, power tools, cutting torch and welder will be needed. Repair and change tires when needed. Drive a forklift for the purpose of assisting in repairs. Drive a tractor, pickup or utility vehicle as transportation on farm roads to assist with repairs. Drive and use farm equipment, tractors, pickups, forklifts and utility vehicles to determine the repairs needed or fixed. Maintaining and servicing packing, cold storage and repair equipment. Clean up and organize the shop and work area for future use. Paint farm equipment, packing equipment, refrigeration and other equipment that needs to be protected from corrosion. Duties performed SOC 47-3019 Helpers, Construction Trades Under the direct supervision of the farm owner workers will perform various duties to assist with the general repair of the farm buildings. Building maintenance and repairs on existing farm owned structures. Concrete formed and poured for repairs and new projects. Installation and maintenance of various flower field displays. Building new projects or additions only as part of the farm. Painting Building Structures and Farm property Workers will assist in making repairs to the farm, and farm structures as needed. GENERAL CONDITIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL CROPS: Fieldwork begins at assigned time shortly after daylight. Work may be performed during light rain and in high humidity and in temperatures ranging from 110 degrees to below 20 degrees F. Workers will perform the majority of tasks standing in the upright position and can expect to stand on their feet for extended periods of time. Some tasks, however, require workers to perform activities on their feet in stooped or crouched position for long periods of time. Workers can / will frequently carry weights of 60 lbs. consistently. Workers will supply their own work clothes. All the tasks in this Job Description constitute one (1) job; the employer may assign workers to different tasks on any day or to multiple tasks during the same day in the sole judgment of the employer. Workers may be required to perform work, on the farm, that is incidental to the duties listed in the job description. Full Crop Commitment: This is regular work, 7 hours per day, Monday-Friday, and five hours on Saturday for the full remainder of the period of employment. The worker agrees to work for assigned employer(s) whenever work is available during the full remaining period of employment even though work may be slack at times. The worker understands that if the worker quits or is terminated for cause prior to the end of the period of employment, the worker will not receive the 3/4 guarantees and will not receive certain transportation reimbursements. Excessive tardiness and/or absences will not be tolerated and will result in termination. Daily individual work assignments, crew assignments, and location of work, will be made by and at the sole discretion of the farm manger and/or farm supervisor as the needs of the farming operation dictate. Workers may be assigned a variety of duties in any given day and/or different tasks on different days. Workers will be expected to perform any of the listed duties and work on any crop as assigned by the workers supervisor.
