Job Overview
The role of the Warehouse Associate II-Induction is responsible for the induction of orders into the pick area and overseeing conveyor system to ensure that it is functioning effectively and efficiently. The position is responsible for order distribution documentation to ensure proper order flow and working with shipping clerk lead to ensure orders are processed to maximize customer experience.
A Day In The Life
Follow all safety, company, and 6S standards in the distribution center to ensure a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety and security of all employees.
Operate warehouse equipment and tote conveyance equipment safely and efficiently to ensure little to no accidents.
Prioritize orders based on FIFO (First In First Out), standard work and direction from shipping office lead clerk. Document tote information being distributed to pickers to ensure that pickers are held accountable.
Responsible to ensure pick supplies (pallets, totes, bags, etc.) are continuously stocked in the pick area throughout the day.
Manage the conveyor system's induction to ensure that totes are inducted so that the system can function effectively.
Utilizing Conveyor Dashboard, ensure that system is running effectively and correct minor maintenance issues (tote issues, conveyor eye, etc.)
Provide support for pickers in flow racks to ensure there is an adequate amount of head count to support the induction process.
Perform miscellaneous activities as directed by your manager to efficiently support the warehouse operation.
What will help you thrive in this role?
Three (3) years’ experience in a high-volume warehouse environment required.
One (1) years’ experience in picking operation.
Ability to perform work for a maximum of nine hours per day.
Willingness to embrace the Hubbell Values and Behaviors.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating in projects as needed.
