Description
As a Senior Risk Manager for Operational Excellence, you will be at the forefront of transforming our team's operational capabilities, through automated solutions, artificial intelligence-powered tools and enhanced analytics to drive scalable risk management solutions currently with high degree of dependence on manual process and service providers; streamline compliance processes; reduce processing times and; enhance decision-making capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
You will serve as the bridge between business and technology, translating complex customs valuation requirements into clear technical specifications that drive meaningful improvements. Your deep understanding of data analytics will be crucial as you develop and maintain frameworks that provide insights for decision-making and process optimization.
A significant portion of your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders across different regions and functions to understand their needs and ensure that automated solutions align with broader organizational objectives. Your analytical mindset will be essential as you monitor and report on key performance metrics, continuously identifying areas for improvement and proposing innovative solutions. You will own the end-to-end process of implementing automation initiatives, from initial concept through to successful deployment and ongoing optimization.
About the team
Global Trade Services (GTS) – Customs Valuation & Trade Data Governance Team is responsible for customs valuation governance across the Stores, Devices & Others (SDO) Organization and building trade data infrastructure to enable the development of best-in-class risk management and data analytics solutions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or equivalent
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification
Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
