This position is situated within the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources and reports directly to the Chief of Staff.

Position Summary:

The HR Operations Specialist provides comprehensive administrative and operational support to University Human Resources. Responsibilities include drafting communications, implementing process improvements, training staff, reviewing policy, and managing project plans for major UHR initiatives. The role requires handling confidential and time-sensitive material, possessing in-depth knowledge of UHR concepts, policies, and procedures, and effectively communicating with internal and external contacts.

Responsibilities:

Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Represents the University Human Resources office with internal and external contacts.

  • Ensures smooth functioning of HR processes, including employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, total rewards administration, compliance, and performance management.

  • Provides interpretation and advice on HR policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

May assist in mentoring or training new employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, communication, sociology, or related field and 3-5 years of related professional experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Advertised Salary:

We offer a competitive salary range of $44,592 to $59,085 annually, commensurate with experience.
