The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing the physical infrastructure of the facility. The technician will also respond to maintenance requests, support facility upgrades, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The technician will at times assist in trash removal and moving equipment/inventory between facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Respond to maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.
Maintain and repair equipment, machinery, and fixtures as needed.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Assist in facility renovations and installations when required.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Occasional light janitorial work (taking out trash).
Assist in inventory management.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience as a maintenance technician or similar role preferred.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems a plus.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work in diverse environments, including heights, and outdoor areas.
Able to work in a fast paced environment in a growing laboratory setting.
May require evening, weekend, or on-call availability for emergency repairs.
Requirements:
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
This position will be a full-time role, Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. May require evening, weekend or on-call availability for emergency repairs.
Pay range: $20-22/hr depending on experience.
Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
