Silicon Laboratories Inc. seeks a

Senior DevOps Engineer in Boston, MA, to d

efine, build, and support the software infrastructure, tools, and processes needed to empower our Research and Development teams, including Software and Integrated Circuit Design, to operate at scale. Enable automation and monitoring at all steps of product development. Simplify and automate software deployments and platform changes. Produce complex software that automates software release processes. Identify, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge cloud platforms and technologies.Design, develop, and implement automated processes utilizing technologies like Terraform, Jenkins, AWS, and Ansible.

Integrate with software development teams and find ways to improve software delivery and quality, as well as the productivity and experience of our design engineering constituents.

Collaborate with technology owners to identify, inventory, and streamline existing software-related projects.

Scale development activities in line with the goal of reducing cost and complexity.

Employ the latest DevOps technologies and infrastructure including Docker, EKS, ECS, and Google Cloud Compute.

Implement reporting software to provide visibility and accountability into software development operations.

Increase productivity of the team through identifying opportunities to automate and script daily tasks and eliminate waste in existing processes.

Collaborate with our design and engineering teams and create and track productivity and success of IT and Engineering teams.

Cross train other members of IT in growing Unix, Chef, and scripting skills through coaching and collaboration.

Implement security practices with minimal downtime to key constituents.

Use a variety of technologies to carry out responsibilities, including RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, Solaris, EMC Isilon, Python, Shell, Bash, Chef, Satellite, AWS, Nagios, Splunk, Nexus, VMWare, NIS, NFS and Windows 360.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.

Requires 5 years of experience with the following:

Infrastructure as code using terraform, ansible or others.

Cloud administrators: AWS or azure or google cloud.

Scripting languages: shell, pythons, power-shell.

Monitoring tools: splunk, netdata, Grafana.
