The Department of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine seeks to recruit a candidate for a full-time position in general medical dermatology. The successful candidate will join our Department of Dermatology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and provide patient care and education within our residency training program. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest both in practicing and teaching general dermatology as well as non-Mohs surgical dermatology. Particular areas of subspecialty interest might include inpatient consultative dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and/or dermatology of skin of color. A commitment to resident education is necessary. Expected rank is Assistant Professor/Associate Professor, however, rank and tenure status is dependent upon candidate’s qualifications. Qualified Candidate will have a strong interest in practicing clinical dermatology and be Board certified or eligible. Expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $284,466 (min) and $569,296 (max). The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Dermatology faculty compensation program or pay from participation in Dermatology variable compensation programs. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selected candidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For more information, please contact the hiring department. The referenced salary range represents the minimum (25%) and maximum (90%) salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
