We are looking a Production Operator **in Batesville, MS.** As a **Production Operator in the Sewing Department**, you'll be responsible for operating sewing machines, handling materials, and ensuring the quality of finished products. This role includes setting up machines, inspecting materials, and performing various sewing and extrusion tasks to meet production standards. You'll work with a team to maintain safety, accuracy, and efficiency while keeping your workspace organized and tools in good condition. If you have an eye for detail and enjoy hands-on work, this position provides the opportunity to develop your skills in a manufacturing setting! We are looking candidates for our second shift -- **Monday to Thursday 4:15pm-2:30am, with overtime as needed Fridays and Saturdays.** We are currently offering a **limited-time sign-on bonus of $2,000 for new hires.** New employees who meet the criteria outlined in our sign-on bonus program will be eligible for the full payout. **The starting pay is $15.00 an hour.** **Why You'll Love Working For Us:** - Competitive salary - Daily per diem while traveling - 100% covered individual hotel room stays while traveling - Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage - 401k matching - Tuition assistance - Paid time off and overtime pay - On-the-job training with full pay - Company paid PPE, boots, and safety gear - Career growth opportunities - Work for a forward-thinking and innovative company - Ecological footprint - We are rehabbing the world's infrastructure, one pipe at a time, with minimal disruption to people's daily routines, with little waste **What You'll Do:** - Operate and monitor sewing machines, ensuring efficient and accurate sewing of materials to meet production targets. - Review job sheets and verify correct material specifications, ensuring that felt material types, B-tags, and dimensions match the requirements. - Set up machines, ensuring the correct job size and machine configuration. - Load heavy rolls of materials and thread spools as required. - Monitor stitching, taping, and flame bonding processes, conducting visual inspections for defects, contaminants, and quality issues. - Perform periodic machine adjustments, including counter resets and proper labeling. - Handle special tube specifications such as material splicing, transitions, and seam sealing. - Inspect and stack completed tubes, ensuring they meet quality standards. - Operate hand tools (scissors, knives, saws, welders) and inkjet printers. - Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. **What We're Looking For:** - High school diploma or GED - At least 6 months of work experience in a production or manufacturing environment - Proficiency in using measuring tools, including tape measures, and basic math skills, including the ability to convert measurements - Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; Flexibility to work in a variety of physical environments, including near moving mechanical parts and in areas with potential exposure to fume or airborne particles We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
