The FLEX Senior Director, Global Consulting, is a key member of the Customer Group, advising on enterprise strategies and priorities. The Senior Director will have a particular focus on supporting our “Marketing and Personalization Acceleration’ capabilities, while also providing advisory services to the broader organization on complex platforms and projects, as deemed necessary.

Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, ability to manage complex stakeholder interactions, a proven ability to manage multiple projects at the same time, as well as a willingness to be tested on difficult projects and initiatives. This position functions as an Advisor and/or Project Leader on major initiatives and programs such as projects to increase personalization, drive customer loyalty, and strengthen Marriott’s partnerships and emerging businesses. Additionally, the Senior Director provides strategic initiative leadership while also advising on strategic execution.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience in strategy development, brand management, marketing strategy, or product management,

  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related major

OR

  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience in related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance

  • Experience managing and defining transformational strategies for business units.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results under difficult conditions, particularly when faced with complexity and ambiguity

  • MBA or equivalent preferred

  • Lodging / hospitality industry experience is preferred

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Managing Projects and Priorities

  • Functions as a strategic senior technical expert within the department.

  • Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.

  • Champions leaders’ vision for product and service delivery.

  • Makes and executes the necessary decisions to keep moving forward toward achievement of goals.

  • Provides direction and assistance to other teams regarding projects.

  • Determines priorities, schedules, plans and necessary resources to promote completion of any projects on schedule.

  • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

  • Reviews vendor proposals and recommends appropriate vendor for services/technologies/hardware.

  • Thinks creatively and practically to develop, execute and implement new project plans.

  • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

  • Plans, develops, implements, and evaluates the quality of operations.

Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders

  • Understands and meets the needs of key stakeholders.

  • Communicates concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities.

  • Supports achievement of performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.

Providing Technical Support and Consultation

  • Demonstrates expertise in leveraging Mar-tech and generative AI capabilities to drive innovative, customer-facing personalization solutions.

  • Skilled in using data, analytics, and AI to create highly contextualized and relevant customer experiences across various channels.

  • Ability to translate business needs and requirements into Martech and AI-driven capabilities that deliver tailored experiences at every stage of the customer journey.

  • Knowledge of dynamic content assembly and orchestration to automate content-to-audience assignment and improve marketing efficiency.

  • Expertise in building and scaling personalization strategies that drive significant value and revenue growth.

The pay range for this position is $70.67 to $113.22 per hour.
