Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Research Lab Tech (Per Diem) to join our exceptional team in Las Vegas.
Responsibilities:
Collect and harvest plasma, serum, and all other required labatory specimens according to protocol specifications
Monitors the collection of urine and/fecal specimens form subjects participating in studies
Completes all required study documents and might need to be trained on special equipment per protocol
assures that all procedures and processing areas are maintained in a neat, clean, and organized manner
Performs other duties as assigned
Complete assigned tasks within strictly defined timelines
Requirements:
High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification Technical positions may require a certificate Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 1 year). In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in relevant software and laboratory equipment
Able to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds
Able to work in non-traditional work environments
Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people in a comprehensible and reasonable manner
