City National Bank Sales Support Lead in Beverly Hills, California

SALES SUPPORT LEAD

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

This colleague will coordinate, manage, lead and perform various activities that support the divisions sales and marketing programs. Responsible for managing client development and retention events, organization and management of marketing lists and database, creation and tracking of communications and business development initiatives including all related follow up. This role has broad based responsibilities, supporting the division as an SME and includes ownership of complaint and privacy issues management, and management of special projects for the division.

What you will do

  • Coordinate division activities related to client development and retention events such as conferences, charitable and VIP events. Work closely with the division sales teams to identify the appropriate clients for events. Ensure timely communications as well as maximum turnout. Track success factors associated with events.

  • Coordinate and execute appropriate client recognition and acknowledgment collateral related to entertainment industry award events.

  • Compose business development correspondence. Manage follow up, and work with division sales teams to identify opportunities for future business development efforts.

  • Pro-actively work with sales teams to identify marketing collateral that is targeted to the audience/client and supports business development efforts.

  • Create and manage a division marketing calendar to track and monitor client events. Work with division sales teams to plan appropriate alignment with events and maximize business development opportunities.

  • Act as a key liaison with the CNB Marketing division for corporate and large marketing events and in the creation and maintenance of intellectual content (including marketing collateral, databases, related websites, scripts and letters). Work with Relationship Managers on client presentations and appropriate collateral for meetings.

  • Maintain calendar and multi-year commitments for community and non-profit events. Assist with overall budget adherence to both community and business development events and activities.

  • In conjunction with Sales and Division Management, develop, implement and track results for referral and related contests.

  • Prepare reports that reflect success and/or experience with sales contests, or sales programs, including mailers, geographic or specific market development (Latin, sports, etc.), guiding ideas to successful sales.

  • Attend service and operations team meetings and contribute as appropriate. Assist Relationship Teams as backup for on-site sales calls as schedule permits.

  • Maintains positive relationships with all units within the bank by providing product/service information and supporting the line divisions business development and client retention efforts.

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain material regarding operational processes and procedures, jobs/roles, and act as a resource/SME for all division colleagues.

  • Act as Seismic SME for the division

  • Participates on special projects as requested. Provides support for sales objectives that are consistent with overall division objectives. Maintains an awareness of all current regulatory requirements, policies and procedures and heightened standards requirements.

  • Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).

Must-Have*

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years of entertainment industry experience, public relations or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of financial services and products experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales support or operations experience

Skills and Knowledge

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong time management and project management skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.

  • Strong knowledge and proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.

  • Ability to work well with all levels within the organization.

  • Significant experience in the banking industry showing a strong understanding of banking operations

  • Ability to gather, arranges, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to formulate conclusions and recommended actions.

Compensation

Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
