Job Title: Per Diem Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Per Diem Welder to join our team working on the Ship to Shore Connector program. The ideal candidate will have experience welding 3mm and 10mm plates, with a strong background in MIG and TIG welding, specifically aluminum and mirror welding.
Responsibilities
Perform welding on the Ship to Shore Connector program.
Weld 3mm and 10mm plates.
Execute mirror welding tasks.
Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
Apply shop mathematics for precise fabrication.
Essential Skills
Experience in aluminum welding.
Proficiency in MIG welding with at least 5 years of experience.
Proficiency in TIG welding with at least 3 years of experience.
At least 3 years of mirror welding experience.
Ability to read blueprints and sketches.
Strong fabrication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Formal craft training is preferred.
Demonstrated welding skills based on the results of the welding test.
Three plus years of related MIG and TIG aluminum experience.
Mirror welding experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment
This role is based in an outdoor covered production/shop environment, with approximately 230 people currently employed at this location.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.75 - $28.75/hr.
