Job Description:
As a Landscaping Cost Estimator, you will analyze project specifications, prepare accurate cost estimates, and provide detailed proposals for various landscaping projects. Your expertise will help ensure that our projects are profitable and competitively priced. Responsibilities: Review project plans, specifications, and site conditions to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to develop accurate project budgets Collaborate with project managers and field crews to gather information and provide input on estimates. Prepare and present detailed proposals to clients, addressing their specific needs and requirements. Maintain and update a database of pricing for materials, labor rates, and subcontractor bids. Monitor project costs during execution, providing updates and recommendations as necessary. Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing. Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project feasibility and requirements. Qualifications & Requirements: An associate's degree or certifications in construction management, landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimating, preferably in the landscaping or construction industry. Strong understanding of landscaping practices, materials, and equipment. Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.). Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Valid drivers license with a clean driving record. Willingness to travel to job sites as needed
