Description
The Children and Family Treatment Support Services (CFTSS) Program Team Leader provides clinical and administrative supervision of the CFTSS program – Other Licensed Professionals (OLP), Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment (CPST) and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR). Responsibilities include staff supervision, managing visits, sessions and case assignments. The Team Leader will work under the general supervision of the Vice President of Integrated Services, as a part of a small multidisciplinary team providing coordinated services for children, youth and families with complex needs that are delivered in a trauma-responsive, culturally and linguistically competent manner. The Team Leader works collaboratively with the agency departments to ensure service delivery and adheres to the regulations of the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Oversee the provision of individual, group and family therapy including behavior modification, cognitive behavioral, insight oriented and supportive therapy to an ethnically and culturally diverse population, ranging from age zero trough twenty-one.
Conduct Intake Assessments and maintain a small caseload for individual, group and family therapy
In this role of Primary Clinician, the Team Leader will: Serve as the point person for the client and their family; Conduct needs assessments;
Engages in safety planning and wellness management planning with clients; Connects clients and families with the services and supports they need; Provide treatment planning interventions
Oversee the referral and connection of children to appropriate mental health support services
Assist with clinical and administrative crisis management, as needed
Provides overall supervision to the team and is responsible for allocation of staff time
Ensures all team members are informed of issues involving participants and their families
Monitors caseload size and coordinates program intakes and discharges
Facilities weekly team meetings and provides training and supervision of the clinical social worker, family/youth peer specialist and other team members as needed
Makes rotating call schedule for after-hours coverage by team members
Rotating on-call responsibilities with other team members
Collect, track and interpret programmatic data to facilitate continuing performance improvement and grant requirements
Monitor and maintain program compliance with OMH regulations including treatment plans, documentation, assessments and all aspects of the program
Conduct outreach within the agency and throughout the community
Facilitate intra/inter agency referrals as necessary and advocate for clients with other community-based organizations and governmental agencies as indicated
Participate in staff and department wide meetings as required
Preforms other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
LCSW; NYS licensed Clinical Social Worker or Ph.D clinician in appropriate field (Social work, Psychology); Two years of supervisory experience; Experience working with adolescents and/or young adults with serious mental illness. Experience in community-based mental health services.
