Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operators to work at locations in Yellow Medicine County, in Minnesota. From: 03/01/2025 to 11/30/2025. Work: 48 hrs./week, Mon. - Sat. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime and taking holiday are mandatory. In Minnesota only: all hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. JOB DESCRIPTION: Drive and operate equipment used in planting, harvesting and cultivating. Load and unload crops. Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases, using hand sprayers. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Adjust, repair or service machinery. Attach farm implements such as plows, discs, sprayers, or harvesters to tractors, using bolts and hand tools. Load hoppers, containers, or conveyors to feed machines with products, using forklifts, transfer augers, suction gates, shovels, or pitchforks. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farmworkers. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Have a Class D or be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Must be able to perform work in extreme temperatures and with extensive sitting and walking. Employer requires drug screen and background check post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of operating expensive tools and equipment, and the presence of children on the farm. No minimum education required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
