Kinder Morgan, Inc. Petroleum Operations Inventory Supervisor in Carteret, New Jersey
Position Description
Primary Purpose:
To ensure accurate inventory for the Carteret terminal.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing day-to-day inventory staff
Reviewing daily tolerances for anomalies in pipeline, marine, or terminal movements
Creating and distributing customer inventory reports reflecting all monthly product movements in the terminal
Tracking and documenting all ATG/Temp probe tolerances and reporting variances to management
Review all line tracking movements daily and verify proper tank/product allocation for all line segment movements
Review all product movement paper work for proper KM standards (Gauges, Temps, Times, and DV)
Monthly meetings with inbound/outbound pipelines facilities to discuss inventory discrepancies
Schedule, coordinate, and execute end of month gauging for inventory reconciliation
Continuously assess Customer Service processes and provide strategy and direction to make improvements.
Provide overall support to help resolve customer issues.
Streamline process to communicate inventory data to customers real-time
Coordinate and work with management to ensure customer requirements are met.
Manage overall department performance and completion of annual Performance Evaluations.
Take ownership of monitoring customer services relationship with operations and provide direction as necessary.
Communicate with customers regarding inventory
Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Minimum experience, skills, knowledge, certifications, licenses, competencies, working conditions:
Supervisory experience.
Must have solid planning, organizational, and communication skills.
Must possess a strong customer focus.
Must have a strong attention detail.
Must be able to handle multiple tasks.
Able to work effectively in a fast paced, stressful environment.
Occasional Terminal yard work in inclement weather.
May be required to work additional hours to meet the needs of the terminal.
Solid knowledge of PC systems and related applications.
Preferred experience, skills and knowledge
Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
Lawson experience.
Galahad experience.
