ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES This position provides supervision of the splash pad/playground area including enforcing splash pad/park rules and conducting customer services duties such as: greet and welcome park visitors; assist visitors with questions and concerns; prepare the splash pad and playground areas for public use; keep park area clean and litter free by performing walk-around inspection of the splash pad and playground area to identify litter; empty park trash cans as needed; wash down tables and seats as needed; correct or notify supervisor of any park hazards including proper reporting of any park incidents/accidents; communicate complaints or issues to supervisor as needed; provide high quality customer service by being friendly, tactful, and courteous and by maintaining a positive attitude at all times and providing general knowledge of park information; ensure guests adhere to all standard operating procedures, including all posted splash pad/playground rules, to ensure safety; opening and closing of park equipment such a umbrellas and etc.; light maintenance work such as raking, removing debris, pinecones, etc. from splash pad/playground areas; clean restrooms as needed; performs related duties as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Athletics Program Supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels and to receive detailed information through oral communication and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for depth perception, color perception, peripheral vision, visual inspections involving small defects and/or small parts, operation of machines, operation of motor vehicles or equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities; the worker is subject to outside environmental conditions. The worker may be exposed to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment.
