Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in Charleston, South Carolina
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS industry, located in Charleson, South Carolina. You will be a crucial part of our team, handling processes related to customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.
Responsibilities • Accurately process medical claims and submit billing data to insurance companies. • Maintain precise records of customer credit and track payments. • Analyze accounts receivable and conduct necessary follow-ups. • Handle denials, including identifying the root cause, resolving the issue, resubmitting claims, and ensuring payment receipts. • Post charges and payments efficiently. • Collaborate with the billing staff and other departments to communicate updates, denials, or delays in authorizations. • Verify insurance information for accuracy. • File appeals and work on denied claims. • Maintain a clinical appeal process for all inpatient denials, ensuring proper documentation is provided to support appeals. • Be adaptable to changing priorities and meet assigned deadlines. Requirements • Applicants must have experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) within the healthcare industry.
• Proficiency in handling Appeals is required.
• Candidates should have a solid understanding of Benefit Functions in the healthcare setting.
• Experience in Billing Functions, particularly within the NHS, is essential.
• Claim Administration skills are necessary for this role.
• Candidates must have a background in Medical Billing.
• The ability to manage Claim Denials is a must.
• Applicants should be equipped to handle Insurance Denials.
• Experience with Medical Denials is crucial.
• Proficiency in Medical Coding is required.
• Candidates should be well-versed in ICD Codes.
• A strong understanding of ICD-10 is necessary.
