Southern Outdoor Restoration LLC Operations Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

    Schedule specifications:

  • Mostly in-person (at our offices/ warehouse and jobsites)

  • Most work will align with day shift (Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM)

  • After-hours work required at times for engagement and management of night shift

  • After-hours or weekend work required at times due to urgency of business needs

    Preferred Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with people management and servant leadership

  • Proficient with MacBooks and SOR’s commonly used software stack

    Education & Experience:

  • Leadership and/or management experience

  • Education or experience sufficient to achieve all job requirements to a high standard

    Examples:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration plus 2 years of relevant experience or

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration plus 4 years of relevant experience or

  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus 6 years of relevant experience

    Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow English language safety instructions and training, including OSHA and chemical SDS information

  • Must be able to walk, stand, squat, climb, and execute safety protocols

  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer

  • Must be able to access and navigate company warehouses and job sites

  • Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards

  • Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short distances, and drive a vehicle to deliver and pick up materials.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Crew Leadership & Management:

  • Knowing each team member personally, including goals, challenges, etc.

  • Following data for short and long-term performance needs

  • Celebrating wins and correcting issues

  • Mid and end of day check ins

  • Participation and leadership in team building events

  • Driving a culture of ownership and stewardship

  • Compliments and issues administration; progressive discipline policy

  • Collaborate with Regional Director on screening and hiring ops candidates

    Mentorship/ Technician Development:

  • Semi-annual reviews

  • Collaborate with TPM on each technician's progress

  • One-on-one meetings with direct reports

  • Advocate for technicians, encourage them and hold them accountable

    Project Gameplanning:

  • Morning huddle/ briefing

  • Assign Floating Technicians

  • Truck inspections

    ServiceTrade & Internal Administration:

  • Confirming technician protocol adherence

  • Time clock hours approval each Monday

  • Review hydrant meter data from Ops Coordinator

  • Approve expense/ receipt report for each cardholder direct report

    Internal Customer Experience:

  • QSI administration

  • Meet with AMs and other teams for collaboration
