Siemens Energy Production Supervisor - Transformer Repair Center Factor in Charlotte, North Carolina

A Snapshot of Your Day

Join our team as a Production Team Leader for power transformers, focusing on active parts drying, oil purification and oil filling process. You'll guide the operation and control of ovens, vacuum pumps, filters, oil purification and other necessary equipment for the drying of transformer active parts and other processes. This position is designed for someone who brings a blend of technical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality compliance. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will play a crucial role in achieving efficient production while upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

This role will be based at our new factory in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, and will initially coincide with

the factory’s construction. During this phase, we will focus on developing our processes, refining our offerings, and collaborating closely with a high-performance team. This will involve all aspects of the commercial setup to ensure we are well-prepared to meet the needs of our customers effectively when factory operations start.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Coordinating with the Manufacturing Manager and other department leaders to implement production plans and strategies, enhance efficiency, and minimize downtime.

• Directly supervising factory workers, managing and delegation the day-to-day activities of the team and ensuring adherence to guidelines and procedures.

• Train and develop team members, promoting continuous learning environment.

• Supporting in developing and maintaining the documentation of technical instructions for the drying and treating processes.

• Lead by example and ensure all health and safety protocols and regulations, fostering a safe and respectful working environment.

What You Bring

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience. A technical certificate or associate degree in a relevant field preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in the Power Transformers manufacturing business, handling and operating of vapor phase ovens, vacuum pumps and oil processors.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, people management experience would be advantageous.

  • Solid understanding of production processes and quality control.

  • Knowledge of EHS regulations in a manufacturing environment, OSHA experience is a plus.

  • Willingness to work in shifts and flexibility to adapt to changing production needs.

Other Key Requirements:

  • Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.

  • Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.

  • If not local the candidate must be willing to relocate to Charlotte-NC area.

  • Must be willing to travel between Mexico, Brazil or Germany for on-the-job training. This would be in 2–3-week increments totaling 2-3 months. Appropriate relocation support will be provided.
