Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Information Security Engineer is responsible for the management of network visibility tools for advanced protection and will be a key contributor during incident response efforts. This is not an entry-level role.
Design and implement security architectures.
Develop and maintain security tools and technologies.
Analyze security logs and incident data.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members.
Automate security tasks.
Stay up to date on emerging threats and security technologies.
Respond to security incidents and emergencies.
Minimum Experience / Education:
Bachelor’s degree plus
3-5 years of relevant work experience or the
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Experience in a higher education environment.
Strong communication skills, including experience delivering professional presentations to directors and other high-level staff..
Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks in rapid succession.
Experience working in a Linux environment.
Experience with Cisco security tools.
One or more information security certifications such as GCIH , CISSP , CISA , CRISC , and CISM are preferable but not required.
