Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Cheektowaga, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Serves as a specialist in a group of services supported within the Corporate ReUse department.
  • Manages the project queue for their area, ensuring technological equipment is configured to conform to established guidelines.
  • Completes activities related to installations, configurations, and operations of systems hardware & software related to corporate technology equipment.
  • Serves as a direct point of contact to clients and customers in the sale of refurbished technology equipment.
  • Work closely with Technology management, senior engineers, and support teams regularly to implement and manage the disposition of all technology equipment, including Laptops, Desktops, Thin Clients, Workstations, Tablets, Apple iPhones, iPads, MiFi devices, MICR Readers, BIC Scanners, Journal Printers, Joggers, and any peripheral equipment.
  • Respond to and resolve escalations on moderately to highly complex issues using diagnostic tools available.
  • Maintain and track repair inventory log for all devices and equipment.
  • Represent the Corporate ReUse Team with the Service Now issues platform, including infrastructure review, implementation, design, support creation, standards, policies, analysis, and testing.
  • Triage and process all Service Now orders and tickets to ensure business continuity for new equipment and break/fix replacement devices.
  • Participate in Service Now enhancement meetings to communicate needs to the department to product owners and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in software testing as necessary.
  • Coordinates discovering, transporting, and evaluating unused equipment throughout the Bank.
  • Assess the quality and condition of equipment to estimate potential resale value.
  • Perform refurbishment of salvageable items for profitable sale to maximize return or benefit to the Bank.
  • Participates in the retail sale of equipment to employees and external parties.
  • Produce daily inventory reports of stored technology equipment valued to ensure supply is available to meet corporate volume demands.
  • Serves as a direct point of contact to clients and customers in the sale of refurbished technology equipment.
  • Responsible for understanding client and customer needs to provide the best recommendation of equipment and devices to be sold.
  • Facilitate meetings and conference calls with vendors and internal staff.
  • Coordinate vendor interactions or vendor resources as needed.
  • Follow and promote the use of industry best practices, standards, and procedures. Recommend and initiate new policies and procedures that improve the department's performance and effectiveness.
  • Maintain a good aptitude and working knowledge of bank applications and systems development environments.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of vendor technologies and services used by the Bank.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls in accordance with its Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client's brand.
  • Maintain the client's internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators, as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced team members.
  • Contingent workers will perform detailed and repetitive work in a production capacity with computer hardware and peripherals.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in system development and infrastructure lifecycle and architecture, vendor best practices, IT service management, and systems design.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in industry or vendor technologies.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology.
  • Certifications or special training in technologies.
  • HP Commercial Desktops, Workstations, and Notebook Service Qualification (if not certified at the time of hire, must obtain certification within 6 months of entry into the role).
  • Comp TIA A+ + CE Certification (if not certified at the time of hire, must obtain certification within 1 year of entry into the role).
  • Experience with inventory management and warehousing.
  • Experience with MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and the ServiceNow ticketing platform.
  • Able to meet with clients of varying levels to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and requirements and work closely with integrators, developers, and testers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
