Job Description
We are seeking a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill Operator for both 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) and 2nd shift (3:30 PM - 12:00 AM). The successful candidate will undergo training on the 1st shift for 2-3 months. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in setup and operation of milling machines. Experience with Fagor or Milacron controls is preferred, and the candidate must be able to edit programming on the machine.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate various CNC machines
Operate both mill and lathe machines
Handle large CNC machines in a job shop environment
Perform setups and tooling changes every shift
Read blueprints and use measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Work with tolerances of +/- 0.001
Edit programs at the machine using G&M codes with MasterCAM and Solidworks
Utilize manual machines and grinders as needed
Work with Fanuc and Fagor controls
Essential Skills
6-8 years of CNC Machining experience
Experience setting up machines and performing tooling changes
Ability to complete program edits using G&M codes
Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and gauges
Ability to read blueprints
Job shop experience (non-production machining)
Ability to lift 50 pounds
Experience holding tolerances of +/- 0.001
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with MasterCAM or Solidworks
Experience operating both mill and lathe machines
Work Environment
The work environment is a machine shop job shop that is not climate controlled.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
