Job Title : School Psychologist Location : Circleville OH 43113 Duration : Ongoing (End date not confirmed) Shift: 07:30AM-10:30AM and 12:00PM-03:00PM Hours: Up to 20 hours per week (Hours can be flexible within the school hours) Job Description: Required to review Out of District ETRs and determine whether or not they will be adopted. All compliance components of an ETR must be met in order for the ETR to be adopted by the district. Completing evaluation team reports (initial and re-evaluations) in compliance with Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Standards within a designated time frame. Providing psycho-educational evaluations for students identified as having a disability, or thought to be, disabled. Role & Responsibilities: : Norm referenced tests that measure intelligence (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children. Third Edition or Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale -- Third Edition), visual motor skills, gross and fine motor skills, and other assessments deemed necessary for evaluations such as the Vinland Adaptive Behavior Scales, the Behavior Evaluation Scale 3 (BES3), and the Learning Disabilities Diagnostic Inventory (LDDI). Interviews with the student and/or other individuals familiar with the student; and Observation of the student. These reports may include test scores, background information, and other related data that is deemed appropriate by the psychologist and from the psychological information provided by the court. Any information used shall be current (within 6 months) as noted as such in the report. Consulting individually, and in groups, with disabled students and/or parents, teachers, and other personnel on matters relating to the education and mental health of disabled students to ensure the development and provision of the most appropriate education program. Maintenance of a monthly Psycho-Educational Evaluation Log (SE 137) for each month of service. Maintenance of client information in a secure and confidential manner consistent with department and local procedures, as well as guidelines set by the State Board of Psychology and the Ohio Revised Code. Works with ODYS to resolve discrepancies in professional practice. Presents research and recommendations to ODYS administration for review and potential implementation as required. Adherence to Security, key and tool control procedures. Knowledge Experience and License: Proven experience working with adolescents is required. Experience with adolescent and/or juvenile offender populations is preferred. Experience working in public school districts as a School Psychologist is preferred. Must be a psychologist licensed by, and in good standing with, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce in School Psychology.
