Cleveland Clinic PRN Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient in Cleveland, Ohio

Clinical Pharmacists play a critical role in the comprehensive treatment of patients at Cleveland Clinic. In this role, you will utilize your education and experience to ensure access to accurate and appropriate pharmaceutical services. A caregiver in this position works varying shifts from 7:00AM - 11:00PM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide safe, efficient, patient-centered and evidence-based medication services.

  • Verify medication orders and/or dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.

  • Document services in a complete, accurate and timely manner.

  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with national accreditation standards.

  • Maintain professional interactions with patients to facilitate successful patient experiences.

  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers and/or patients.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • PharmD or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible within 90 days of hire

  • Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience

Physical Requirements :

  • Working while standing and walking for prolonged times, approximately 75% of shift and continuously for extended periods of time.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions of the job

  • Lifting objects up to 30 pounds

  • Reaching, stretching, stooping, climbing steps and sitting

  • Normal or corrected vision

  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person

Personal Protective Equipment :

  • Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
