The Opportunity

This position works out of our Columbus, OH location in the Nutrition Division .

Primary Function:

The US Planning Center (USPC) is comprised of US Production Planning, Export Customer Operations, and Global Master Data functions. The Export Customer Operations team is responsible for developing and executing replenishment plans that ensure highest level of internal and external customer service with the least cost to the operation. The Export Customer Operations team is responsible for controlling the flow of communication, replenishment schedules and documentation requirements for nutritional products and medical devices from North American manufacturing sources. The Senior Logistics Planner provides support to the Export Customer Operations team as the primary data analyst.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Major Responsibilities:

  • Deliver weekly domestic inventory assessment for Abbott Nutrition International (ANI)

  • Analyze inventory accuracy between SAP ECC and NOLA BPCS. Perform system adjustments as required

  • Primary contact with US Deployment team to ensure fair and balanced product allocation between Abbott Nutrition Products Division (ANPD) and ANI

  • Execute SME/Sample shipments for registration, marketing campaigns and other requirements

  • Subject Matter Expert for Export Ops in SAP APO, NOLA BPCS and SAP ECC

  • Lead trainings on SAP APO, NOLA BPCS and SAP ECC with the Export Ops team

  • Provide ad-hoc support to Supply Chain specialists on system parameters, issues and questions

  • Establish and maintain auditing for Export Ops system parameters

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall effectiveness of the supply chain, increase customer service, and reduce operating costs

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on identified issues and implement corrective actions

  • Lead cross-functional project teams

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all internal and external supply chain partners

Accountability

  • The Export Operations Analyst must possess a good understanding of the logistics role in the Abbott supply chain

  • This position must be able to assess and make decisions regarding inventory transactions and domestic requirements for ANI.

  • The position requires the ability to proactively identify and communicate issues affecting availability of product.

  • The Export Operations Analyst is expected to resolve day-to-day customer service-related issues independently and is also expected to take a leadership role in the identification and implementation of supply chain solutions to address supply and demand issues.

  • This position is also expected to lead new business integration activities and drive continuous improvement supply chain initiatives in support of maximizing Abbott sales.

Required Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree required: Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration

  • 3 to 4 years of total experience in two or more of the following areas: customer service, international supply chain operations, transportation management, project management, planning

Preferred:

  • Export Operations experience preferred

  • Must possess excellent organizational, follow up and analytical skills coupled with a high sense of urgency and the ability to resolve problems and produce results

  • Must have strong project management skills coupled with knowledge of supply chain processes and market requirements

  • Must be a demonstrated team player and can work in a global environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to facilitate information flow across internal and external supply chain customers

  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills are required to ensure timely and cost-effective solutions to issues impacting the supply chain including internal and external customers

  • Innovative skills and initiative are required to identify and implement business process improvements

  • Must possess a good understanding of MRP/DRP and planning systems

  • Perform data analysis by extracting and analyzing large volumes of data.

  • Utilize reporting and Microsoft tools, specifically Excel and Power BI, to support data-driven decision-making.

The base pay for this position is $75,300.00 – $150,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
