Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Our company is seeking skilled maintenance technicians for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The role involves both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues within the plant. Technicians will use basic hand tools for repairs, with specialty tools provided by the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.

  • Use basic hand tools and provided specialty tools for repairs.

  • Work with electrical systems, including 480V 3-phase power.

  • Conduct PLC troubleshooting and manage inputs and outputs.

  • Handle mechanical maintenance tasks involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyors.

  • Read and interpret schematics.

Essential Skills

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities.

  • Experience with PLCs.

  • Ability to manage inputs and outputs.

  • Knowledge of 480V 3-phase electrical systems.

  • Familiarity with conveyor systems.

  • Understanding of simple hydraulics and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration.

  • Background as a diesel mechanic.

  • Knowledge of controls and electrical systems.

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean food manufacturing facility, with the smell of both raw and cooked meat. The dress code includes non-slip shoes, jeans, and a work shirt. Employees may work 60 hours a week due to current understaffing. Schedules are as follows:

First Shift: 5:30 am – 4:00 pm (with a possible earlier start) Second Shift: 4:00 pm – 2:30 am Third Shift: 11:00 pm – 9:00 am

Workdays are Monday through Friday, with work required every other weekend.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
