Position Summary
This position reports to the Associate Director of Recruitment and is critical to the recruitment of undergraduate, primarily first-year, students. The candidate is responsible for representing the University of Central Arkansas to prospective students, parents, high school counselors, career coaches, and other constituents within a designated geographic area in Arkansas and occasional out-of-state travel. In addition to recruitment responsibilities, the Senior Admissions Counselor serves as a recruitment team leader, providing guidance and support to the recruitment team in achieving enrollment goals.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Planning and implementing recruitment activities for assigned territory to include high school visits, lunch visits, college planning programs, and special events
Disseminating accurate and pertinent information regarding UCA, admissions requirements, and undergraduate programs of study to students, families, and school administrators
Managing the Admissions email account, ensuring timely and professional communication with prospective students and other stakeholders
Assisting with inventory control for recruitment items, working in tandem with the Office Manager to assess recruitment needs for Admissions Counselors
Assisting with record management within our Slate CRM system, including but not limited to: consolidating duplicate records, event management, etc.
Collaborating closely with the Associate Director of Recruitment to coordinate and refine territory management strategies, ensuring effective outreach and engagement across assigned regions.
Collaborate with the Associate Director of Recruitment with on and off-campus Admission presentation requests
Providing campus tours to prospective students and their families
Utilizing UCAs student database software to manage targeted recruitment strategies and on-going strategic communications with prospective students, inquiries, and applicants
Participating in special events, including but not limited to Bear Facts Days, Bear Necessities Day, Distinguished Scholars Day, etc.
Performing other administrative duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Readiness to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required
Availability to travel to event locations (sometimes driving long distances requiring overnight stays) during early morning, evening, and weekend hours as needed
Capability to load and transport admissions materials, displays, and other equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Aptitude to work effectively with prospective students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, community members, and off-campus constituents
Ability to take direction, to organize multiple tasks and documents that have been concurrently assigned, and to work independently
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written abilities that positively reflect upon UCA with diverse populations
Polished presentation/public speaking skills -Fine-tuned organization, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree
Valid drivers license
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Minimum (1) year experience in Higher Education
Demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively with other personnel
