Alabama State Job Bank Production Engineer in Dadeville, Alabama
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality;
Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production workflows;
Identify and resolve process bottlenecks to ensure smooth operations;
Plan and oversee the transition of new products from prototype to mass production;
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for new product manufacturing;
Conduct trial production runs and validate production processes before full-scale implementation;
Analyze production cycle times and implement measures to enhance efficiency;
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production output, scrap rates, and downtime;
Optimize material flow, workstation layouts, and resource utilization to maximize productivity;
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment-related issues to minimize downtime;
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery operates at peak performance;
Recommend and support the implementation of automation and new technologies to improve production efficiency;
Work closely with the quality team to ensure all products meet customer specifications and industry standards;
Work with cross-functional teams to streamline production processes;
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the production environment;
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement; and
Prepare reports on production performance, including yield rates, defect rates, and downtime analysis.
Requirements:

15 years of work experience in the automotive parts manufacturing industry;

Knowledge with manufacturing processes;

Ability to maintain production equipment; and
