Are you a highly skilled mechanic ready to elevate your aviation career? Join our team! As an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, maintaining, testing, and storing our aerospace ground service vehicles and equipment to support aircraft flight and maintenance operations.
In this role, you will:
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aerospace ground and service equipment (AGE).
• Inspect, test, and operate AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions.
• Remove, disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, assemble, and re-install AGE accessories and components.
• Provide dispatch services for AGE, including positioning equipment to support aircraft maintenance and flying operations.
• Prepare AGE for storage and mobility deployment.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on ground support equipment (GSE) such as generators, air conditioning units, hydraulic test stands, and tow tractors.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
Perform inspections and tests to verify the proper functioning of equipment.
Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections using logs and computerized systems.
Ensure all work complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Prepare and submit required documentation for regulatory agencies and internal audits.
Ensure technical data is current prior to conducting work.
Tools and Equipment:
Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs.
Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated.
Recommend and requisition parts, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance tasks.
Safety and Training:
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Participate in safety training and drills.
Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices.
Customer Service:
Communicate effectively with operations personnel, pilots, and other stakeholders regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
Provide technical support and advice as needed.
Work with vendors to request quotes, source parts and materials and approve invoices.
Qualifications You Must Have:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with ground support equipment
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Exposure with technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in various weather conditions, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity
Previous experience with performing hardware and soldering techniques, technical data, and everyday tools
Highly skilled in servicing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on motor and engine-driven generator sets, air conditioners, hydraulic test stands, air compressors, heaters and other similar support equipment
Must be able to pass an occupational physical that includes a hearing and vision test
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent is a plus
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
