Expected salary range of $116,000 to $145,000 , varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Commercial Business Solutions team is the solutions partner driving results by challenging the status quo, strategic problem solving and exceptional execution. This department reports up through Commercial Operations and supports all business lines, commodities and functional areas throughout the organization. The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and motivating teams to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering exceptional business value to customers. The PM may be responsible for managing one or several concurrent high visibility teams, projects or assignments which may cross multiple lines of business. The PM may play various roles in practice, including but not limited to Change Management Practitioner, Process Improvement Lead, Program Manager, Project Manager or Scrum Master.

  • At a Commercial level, leading large and complex projects consisting of multiple teams and requiring integration with activities outside of the scope of the project deliver team.

  • At a project level, use experienced judgement and skills to design an approach which is suitable to achieve business goals and constraints.

  • At a team level, coach for optimal team dynamics and performance. In performing these roles, the PM will be expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending Lean Six Sigma, traditional project management principles and agile practices in the right proportions to fit complex, business-critical projects and initiatives and with the appropriate level of planning and provide the right balance of agility and predictability.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Essential contributor to Constellation’s Lean Six Sigma cultural and skill development initiatives, including the co-administration of our Embedded Lean Practitioner program.

  • Direct, monitor and control project or initiative execution with transparency.

  • Lead collaboration of stakeholders through ambiguity or conflict to deliver business strategy.

  • Charter and plan projects and initiatives based on business value and priority, and apply process improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma and the DMAIC framework.

  • Lead and structure teams, work plans and processes through entire project or initiative lifecycle.

  • Manage project or initiative within Constellation governance framework and standards.

  • Coach and mentor personnel.

  • Lead innovation through continuous improvement within the department and/or company.

  • Lead projects to improve the reliability and integrity of business processes and workflow systems.

  • Collaborate with other teams to provide recommendations for ongoing business process innovation, and exercise independent judgement to investigate and resolve discrepancies in work processes.

  • Stay updated on Lean Six Sigma industry trends and participate in the external community of practice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher - Professional experience (8+ years) OR 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree

  • Project management and/or managing teams (8+ years)

  • Current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification AND / OR Six Sigma certification (black-belt or master black-belt)

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Proficient in one or many work management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project, VersionOne, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow)

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Scrum

  • Demonstrated financial discipline and project financial skills (manage a budget, generate forecasts, perform variance analysis)

  • Superior and proven ability to lead, influence, build align

  • Excellent organizational, time management skills

  • Results driven and team oriented

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with ability to solve new and complex problems quickly

  • Travel required as necessary to meet business needs and in-person attendance for trainings, all-hands meetings, and other moments that matter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or higher in Project Management, Finance, Business, Information Systems or Computer Science

  • Prosci Change Management Practitioner certification

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM) AND/OR Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

  • Experience leading projects where stakeholders use Salesforce, Adobe Experience Manager or custom developed applications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the energy industry and retail operations and an understanding of the end to end processes and controls

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an Agile transformation OR building a Lean Six Sigma practice or program

  • Proven ability to lead a team with multiple team members in remote locations
