ManpowerGroup Field Engineer l (Atlanta) in Denver, Colorado
As a Tolling Field Engineer Level 1, you will be responsible for supporting the installation, configuration, and maintenance of tolling systems. This includes, but is not limited to, working with suppliers and internal personnel to perform the following tasks:
Equipment Setup/Burn-in
Implement Inventory Controls
Track/Catalog Inventory
Receive/Secure Inventory
Documentation Cataloging
The ideal candidate will have experience working with one or more inventory solutions, Nagios, and JSM (or equivalent). The Tolling Field Engineer Level 1 is expected to understand the function, operation, configuration, and installation of all equipment that is or will be part of our inventory, to a sufficient level to support Field Technicians and Engineers in the installation process.
You will be responsible for the physical and logical/software setup of on-premises warehouses and labs. This will include the burn-in and configuration of equipment and devices, the configuration of Nagios/JSM (or equivalent), and travel as required to complete the required tasking. You will support field engineers and help mentor field technicians as they install sites. You will manage BOMs, procurement, invoicing, and the handling chain of equipment for multiple simultaneous projects.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to work varying hours depending on tasking/project requirements
Up to 75% travel required, including international, in support of Project Schedule
Support Neology Installation & Development Projects as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), when required
Support training of Neology Resources or Subcontractor as required
Have a valid driver’s license
Provide written & automated reports and documentation (technical and non-technical)
Communicate with, understand, and take direction from Immediate supervisors
Superior English writing and communication skills
Desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones
Possess the ability to actualize tasks without direct daily management
SKILL REQUIREMENTS – ABLE TO USE:
Microsoft Windows laptop and desktop computers
Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook)
Inventory Solutions (e.g. JSM, Nagios)
Common hand-tools (screwdrivers, socket kits, cutters, etc.)
Electrical power tools (electric drills, saws, etc.)
Common test/diagnostic equipment (e.g. multimeters)
RF meters, loop meters, megaohm meters (aka Megger)
Linux, AWS experience a plus
Python, Bash, Perl, JS experience a plus
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Setup & maintain customer warehouses
Comprehend and utilize maintenance documents
Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment
Understand and diagnose network-related issues
Receive, interpret, and respond to Nagios Alerts
Monitor system performance both on-site and remotely, including Jira ticket actions
Make critical decisions to ensure systems remain fully operational
Review and test firmware updates as needed to fix repetitive issues
Have/obtain/maintain certifications & licenses as need is identified (e.g. electrical, mechanical, electronics, network, software)
Oversee Sub-Contractors
Perform Customer on site surveys (RF, Camera, AVC, Tolling)
Other duties as assigned
