We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee our fabrication and assembly operations in the electrical equipment manufacturing industry. As Operations Manager, you will:
• Investigate, correct, and train operational staff on proper material issuance to the WO/Operation/Job level
• Assist with running material shortage reports per job, per operation
• Assist with general observations throughout operations and communicate between all support departments for any and all improvement initiatives
• Work with Engineering to improve schematics and release of work product in a timely manner
• Enable schedule alignment between operations departments, ensuring Fabrication understands the timeline requirements to release full kits
• Be a principal user within Epicor, ensuring daily transactions within operations are performed regularly and to standard
• Run daily reports within Epicor to validate actual vs. budgeted labor for each job
• Interface with sales to update the ESS Metron quote tool, utilizing a combination of lessons learned from each of the above job requirements
A successful candidate for this role will have the following:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred
• Ten (10) years in an electrical/mechanical equipment manufacturing environment
• Five (5) years in a supervisory capacity, overseeing processes and/or process improvement
• An equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency with MS Office- Word, Excel, Outlook
• Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships
• Strong communication skills and able to develop strong, productive working relationships
• Familiarity with ERP systems, Epicor preferred
