About Shriver Job Corps Center  

The Shriver Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Advanced Computer Systems Administration, Advanced Transportation Service Worker, various Computer Sciences, Carpentry, Automotive Maintenance, Millwright Welding, Office Administration and Security & Protective Services. 

Our 21-acre campus is nestled away minutes off of RTE 2, and 2A on Jackson Road in Devens MA. We service between 200 and 300 dorm students ages 16 to 24 years old at any given time with rolling admissions weekly. Our staff value the student experience and often cite the personal impact of what we do as a major factor of employment satisfaction. In addition, we have amenities that are open for staff to utilize such as a gym, basketball courts, full service cafeteria and more.

Position Summary:

Provide safe, efficient and effective transportation for students. Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of Center facility and property.Hours Monday - Friday 1-5pm. Vehicle Provided

Responsibilities

  • Provide students with timely and efficient transportation services as required

  • Maintains appropriate vehicle documentation per DOL / Company requirements

  • Conducts vehicle inspections and reports safety issues and concerns to supervisor

  • Complete, track and document work status and notify supervisor of issues or concerns

  • Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards

    ** McNamara O’Hare Service Contract Act (SCA) (https://www.dol.gov/agencies/whd/government-contracts/service-contracts) workers receive premiums each paycheck to be used toward Health, Dental and Vision insurance premiums. If covered by spousal or parental insurance plan the premiums are deposited into a retirement plan

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Advance degree preferred

  • Valid, active, unrestricted MA Drivers License

  • No more than TWO (2) moving violations or accidents within the past 3 years
