Infinite Health Collaborative (iHealth) Dietetic Operations Specialist - Twin Cities Orthopedics in Eagan, Minnesota

Description The Dietetic Operations Specialist will execute the operations of the Orthopedic Dietetic Program. This role will develop and organize business/administrative systems, coordinate patient care scheduling and business office communication, and facilitate staff training to ensure efficient day-to-day operations for dietetic patients, referring providers, and outreach clients. This role is to assist the Manager of Dietetic Services as a professional, positive, and welcoming representative to TCO for patients, stakeholders, and partners of nutrition services, in collaboration with Dietitian, Manager, Operations Specialist, and PSR teams. This is a full-time M-F position supporting various Twin Cities Orthopedics clinic locations. Twin Cities Orthopedics is an operating division of Infinite Health Collaborative (i-Health), a group of local medical practices, owned and led by its physicians, on a mission to give patients more control over their healthcare. Essential functions: Fully understand, describe, and promote all aspects of Orthopedic Dietetics including the core daily activities that create and deliver value to patients and referring providers. Oversight of process development, implementation and effectiveness that allow proper service, patient scheduling, financial efficiency, and quality in back office and front desk areas of dietetic care. May include quality improvement, inventory and ordering marketing and dietetic care materials. Development of individual and system wide schedules for pertinent staff (RDs, CNs, etc.) within assigned platforms, and troubleshoot as necessary. Assist with pre-registering patients and/or create/update accounts as needed, collecting patients' demographic information, verifying insurance coverage electronically and by calling insurance companies and communicating with business office pertinent to patient accounts. Answer phones, manage electronic communications and schedule employees/patients for dietetic programs, events and services. Train existing PSR, coordinator and dietitian staff on new process changes affecting front desk/reception services relating to scheduling, insurance authorization, paperwork, and coordination of payments for insurance and cash-based nutrition programs. Operate as a liaison between leadership and PSRs to ensure quality and efficiency of patient service. This work may include meeting 1:1 with PSRs, leads/managers and/or staff coordinators to educate, review and collect information on quality, service, and integrity relating to the work of a PSR. Train and coordinate onboarding for new employees in PSR role, coordinator role, and all others as it relates to dietetic program; support Manager with coordination of onboarding for dietitian role. Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reporting and analysis of dietetic generated revenue based on the needs of Manager with efficient, ethical, and productive business practices. Foster community and interdepartmental relationships relevant to dietetic services in collaboration with Manager, Supervisors and leadership at TCO locations to maximize efficiency in dietetic operations Meet regularly with Managers for assignment and collaboration on projects, working closely with Managers in relation to core values and growth of Orthopedic Dietetic Program Produce meeting minutes from monthly staff meetings and at other meeting times as assigned to document actions and disseminate to staff not present. Occasionally participate in community functions relating to outreach events throughout the year that drive promotion of the Dietetic Program All other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's Degree preferred; relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Other health related education, health care and/or customer service experience strongly preferred Experience utilizing MindBody, APM, Microsoft and/or equivalent scheduling and communication platforms required Ability to utilize Microsoft platforms, including excel spreadsheets and understand data through analysis of financial platform required Proven ability to effectively collaborate, creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with internal and external stakeholders and establish operational process is required Benefits & Compensation: Actual starting pay will vary based on education, skills, and experience.
