Job Summary:
This position is expected to develop and maintain strong business relationships with both internal and external customers. The Account Specialist specializes in problem resolutions that, quickly identify delayed orders, facilitate resolution, and maximize the customer’s experience for world class service. This role works to foster a unified, integrated team environment among all division groups including Sales, Distribution, Transportation, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Credit, Trade Compliance, Regulatory and Offshore/back office teams. This role may handle a diverse customer base, including domestic, international, and inter-company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Order Management – 30%:
• Manages the order fulfillment process, which may include all activities from order booking to complete delivery of product, as well as monitoring and mentoring Offshore Team members and activities related to the assigned customer base
• Manages the general sales order process, which may include direct customer interface, problem resolution, analyzing, reporting, container bookings, customs documentation, etc.
• Ensures purchase order details are reviewed, updated and maintained until the order is closed
• Assess purchase order history to help ensure customer deliverables are met and our financial forecasts are accurate (including placed orders and backlog orders)
• Analyze customer return requests and obtain required approvals; identify time critical situations and take appropriate action based on financial elements (return freight, distance from DC, product value, etc); process return orders to completion, which may include arranging pick-up from the customer’s location
Internal/External Customer Relationships - 40%:
• Builds and maintain strong working relationships with customers, internal and external operations, and peripheral teams
• Communicates regularly with Sales team & support staff to ensure timely product delivery and prioritize shipping activities
• Act as liaison with Sales, Distribution, and Supply Chain across multiple shipping and contact locations
• Participates in key customer meetings regularly
• Communicates delivery status and issues with the customer
• Manages expedited deliveries and conducts needed follow-up to assure customer satisfaction
Systems Improvements & Compliance – 30%:
• Responsible for compliance with all Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and processes
• Utilize SAP/QAD system, EDI interfaces, and other programs as necessary to provide maximum efficiency and automation of fulfillment processes, including: table set-up for timeliness and effectiveness, data analysis, and customer compliance requirements
• Identify and implement actions to achieve efficiencies in daily processes
• Ensure plan objectives are met on customer compliance, service level, including achieving quality, quantity and accuracy metrics
• Participates in strategic project initiatives as a contributing project team member
• Identifies issues or trends; analyzes issues and proposes resolutions; escalates issues appropriately and timely
• Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Any combination of:
• Associates degree in Business or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a business/office environment with focus on Consumer Packaged Goods preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in lieu of degree will be accepted.
• SAP/S4 Hana
• Order Management experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to change
• Supply chain experience a plus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $29.00/hr.
