- Technical Support & Training: Work directly with our pilot plant operators and interns to ensure smooth operations and help develop a top-notch training program.
- Pilot Plant Trial Management: Be the go-to person for client and grant manager trials, setting goals, analyzing data, and preparing detailed proposals.
- Troubleshooting & Process Improvement: Take the lead in resolving any plant issues and implementing exciting new process enhancements.
- Project Management: Oversee project objectives, guide pilot plant teams, and manage budgets, schedules, and contractors to ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Dive into data, generate insightful reports, and create engaging materials for industry events and promotions.
- Client Cultivation: Scout and engage potential clients, help develop strategies to attract them, and represent NCERC at trade shows and events.

- Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) or Science discipline (Chemistry or Biology) or closely related field AND three (3) years experience in engineering support or closely related duties\ \ OR
- Seven (7) years of mechanical, electrical, and/or process control experience in a pilot or research plant environment
\ \ Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Skills and knowledge of project management, planning, guiding, and directing plant engineering to achieve plant operations objectives for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Chemical, mechanical, or process experience in a manufacturing or pilot plant environment with a background in chemicals, oil refining or bio-refining.
- Must possess strong organizational, problem-solving, strong communication skills, be a team player, and the ability to effectively lead and develop others.
- Experience in process/project engineering and working with technical personnel, operations personnel, and clients is critical.
