Aspen Medical Nurse Practitioner in El Paso, Texas
JOB AD: Nurse Practitioners
Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for Nurse Practitioners to partner with us in providing quality medical care to patients within a transitional Corrections setting. Nurse Practitioners, alongside fellow team members, will be fully entrusted to ensure that the utmost competent care and safety is consistently delivered with compassion to the patient population.
The medical teams will be located within a secure medical facility, where such services include, but are not limited to the following:
Medical Screening (New Arrivals)
Comprehensive Screening
Sick Call
24-Hour Emergency Medical and Mental Health Treatment
Women’s Medical Care
Aspen Medical will provide additional EMS, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.
Citizenship:
*All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders. Sponsorship will not be available .
Requirements:
Education:
Graduation from a master's or doctoral degree program in nursing approved by an organization authorized by the Department of Education to accredit schools of nursing, National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), with a focus in the specialty of specific privileges being requested
Completion of a formal post-graduate certificate program in the relevant specialty (postmaster’s certificate programs)
License:
Must hold a current, valid, unrestricted advanced practice nursing license in one of the U.S. states, territories, commonwealths, or the District of Columbia
Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as a Nurse Practitioner
Qualifications and/or experience in Emergency/Trauma Medicine, Tropical Medicine, Infectious Diseases, and austere environments is highly desired
Certification:
Current, valid American Heart Association or American Red Cross certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Must obtain and maintain certification by the relevant certification body for the given APN specialty
Certification by a nationally recognized certifying body appropriate to the specialty area of practice (e.g. ANCC). Certification will be maintained for the duration of the individual’s advanced clinical practice
Board Certification:
Current, valid certification as a nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body. The certification must be in the specialty to which the individual is being appointed or selected (certification must be through the ANCC)
Language Proficiency:
Fluency in Spanish is highly desired.
*This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation. You will not receive pay while off rotation.
