Job Description:
Lead Teachers at Federation Early Learning Services (FELS) are instrumental in creating an environment that supports a child's natural desire to explore, experiment, and discover while helping them to achieve their optimal ability ensuring a safe and healthful environment. Lead Teachers must prepare and execute a developmentally appropriate program in accordance with the Creative Curriculum based on NAEYC and Keystone Stars standards and requirements. Leads are also responsible for assuring that positive and appropriate discipline techniques are used amongst all staff and children's personal care needs are met. FELS teachers are interdisciplinary team members contributing to identifying positive solutions and behavioral supports.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of Associates degree or Bachelor's Degree in ECE or related field
- At least two (2) years or a minimum of 2,500 hours of childcare experience
- Ability to speak, hear, read, write, and generally understand English sufficiently to give directions and communicate with both children and adults
- Ability to work with families, center staff, and school district partners in providing the highest quality program for young children

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
