Sam A. Lupo & Sons, Inc. Production Worker in Endicott, New York

Lupo's Spiedies is a further meat processing facility, making/marinating meat products, and sausage products. responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Must become familiar and knowledgeable with and follow all of the USDA requirements for the operations of Lupos Spiedies Federally inspected Meat Plant 2. Must learn and maintain a general knowledge and understanding of the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Program, as well as following all requirements 3. Must become familiar and knowledgeable with and follow all Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements 4. Job duties may include, but are not limited to, (for example) are: a. make Italian sausage b. marinate chicken breast c. cube chicken breast d. make kabobs e. cut Spiedies f. marinate Spiedies g. package products h. label products properly i. unload trucks (companys & others) j. load trucks (companys & others) k. perform proper clean up requirements and duties of machinery and work area(s) l. assist with set up, tear down, maintain and clean catering equipment m. may be asked to assist mail order department during peak season(s) 5. Be to work, properly uniformed, and on production floor at scheduled time,
(including morning meetings) as per work schedule 6. Become familiar with and follow company guidelines and policies at all times 7. Must have the ability to accept direction and priorities from supervisors, team leads, management team, office staff, and/or owners 8. Must be willing to learn and improve work skills to become a more productive and efficient employee, completing work both productively and efficiently 9. Must be able to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to co-workers or the operation of the business 10. Must be able to observe co-workers and help co-workers daily as necessary and/or directed 11. Use and adhere to safety policies and procedures, and adhering to safety procedures for self and co-workers 12. Must adhere to all company policies, protocols, and procedures at all time 13. Other Functions and Duties as assigned (i.e., shoveling walkway(s), salting areas of parking lot & smoking area, sweeping, mopping, cleaning/sanitizing; working at bottling plant or special events, cleaning catering equipment, outside lawn/parking lot area for audit/certification time periods, etc.)

Knowledge, skills, abilities required: 1. Must be 18 years of age 2. Daily punctuality and attendance are required; Work starts promptly at 7 a.m.; must have flexibility to work 7 a.m. until finished for the work day to meet daily production and cleaning requirements; flexibility to work weekends as production orders require, especially during peak season(s). 3. Must understand English language as well as be able to read and write English 4. Must be a team player, ability to work with team members, be self-directed, have flexibility to work in all areas of plant. 5. Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds individually or up to one hundred and ten pounds (110) with a 2-person lift 6. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, lift items above shoulders, climb step ladder for shelved items, etc. 7. Must have ability to work with raw meats and smells 8. Must be able to work in cooler/refrigerator type environment
