Streets Maintenance Technician I
Salary Range: $22.69/hour-$29.73/hour
Anticipated Hiring Range$22.69/hour-$26.21/hour
Streets Maintenance Technician II
Salary Range:$26.22/hour-$34.35/hour
Anticipated Hiring Range$26.22/hour-$30.29/hour

**This position is 100% in-person and not eligible for remote work.
Work Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm
**Employee must be able to work on-call schedule as assigned and outside of normal working hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential
Assists, performs and/or directs a variety of routine to complex maintenance and construction activities, or inspections to include street signage, street sweeping, pavement markings, concrete maintenance and asphalt maintenance. Fabricates, installs and maintains a variety of specialized and complex equipment such as traffic data collection devices, traffic signal equipment and school zone speed awareness signs and performs light mechanical repair and maintenance. Operates heavy and light duty equipment to perform related maintenance and construction assignments such as front-end loader, dump truck, motor grader, sweeper, skid steer, backhoe and snowplow. Performs a variety of heavy laboring activities including the use of hand tools, light power equipment and heavy construction and maintenance equipment. Administrative and Customer Service
Maintains accurate records of work performed and materials and equipment used and other data in Central Square Interact with members of the public in the field to provide information and customer service. Prepares necessary records and reports.
Safety
Performs a variety of duties that requires considerable knowledge of the use and wear of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Performs routine safety checks of equipment and minor maintenance activities on vehicles and equipment and maintains records of activities. Maintains a safe working environment to include working in traffic and congested areas, working in ditches and confined spaces and all work environments. Assists in the cleaning nd organization of shop area.
Operations & Maintenance Support
Assisting Meters with reading and maintenance, service orders, conducting turn-offs and turn-ons of residential and commercial water services. Assisting Distribution, Collections, and Storm Operations with maintenance of sanitary sewer, water, storm related items. Assisting Locates with utility locates. Assisting in Town events preparation, operation and break down.
