Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to machine large parts for Caterpillar using CNC mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up machines daily, utilizing blueprints or schematics, and assembling products using pneumatic and manual tools.
Responsibilities
Machine large parts using CNC mills and lathes
Utilize blueprints or schematics
Assemble products using pneumatic and manual tools
Set up machines daily
Perform independent tool changes regularly
Troubleshoot and solve defects with machines
Essential Skills
5+ years of CNC horizontal machine operating experience
Experience machining and fabricating large parts
Ability to troubleshoot and solve defects with machines
Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other measurement tools
Experience with blueprints and schematics
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Mechanical aptitude
Experience in industrial machining
Experience performing independent tool changes regularly

Work Environment
Work in a metal fabrication shop that fabricates material for larger companies such as Caterpillar. The company consists of roughly 80+ employees and operates in a non-climate controlled, traditional manufacturing, and dirty environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of FAIRBURY, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
