Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Shipping & Receiving Clerk to manage our shipments and ensure smooth operations within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing shipments, receiving and inspecting goods, maintaining inventory, and operating warehouse equipment safely.
Responsibilities
Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently, including picking, packing, labeling, and preparing items for shipment.
Receive and inspect incoming shipments for damage, accuracy, and completeness. Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor.
Assist in managing inventory levels by performing regular stock counts, updating inventory records, and organizing products in the warehouse.
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move, lift, and organize materials and products safely. Must have a forklift license and will be tested onsite.
Complete and verify shipping and receiving documentation, including packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping labels. Ensure all records are accurately maintained using the ERP system ECI Job Boss.
Accurately read EDI releases via different customer portals. ASN experience is a plus, as it is how our customers communicate their weekly/monthly demands.
Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Assist with training new associates as needed.
1st Shift - 7a-3:30PM
Essential Skills
1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations is preferred.
Basic knowledge of warehouse management systems and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks associated with shipping and receiving, including standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing shipments, inspecting goods, and maintaining inventory records.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
