Need 2 full time, temporary, seasonal Ag. Equipment Operator to work in Fergus Falls. From: 03/01/2025 to 12/15/2025 Work: 40 hrs./week, Mon. - Fri. 8 hrs./day, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As required for all workers in Minnesota, hours worked in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at the rate of 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 08/01/2025 JOB DESCRIPTION: Load and unload crops or containers of materials, manually or using conveyors, hand trucks, forklifts, or transfer augers. Mix specified materials or chemicals, and dump solutions, powders, or seeds into planter or sprayer machinery. Spray or handle fertilizer or pesticide solutions to control insects, fungus and weed growth, and diseases. Observe and listen to machinery operation to detect equipment malfunctions. Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery. Drive and operate equipment used in agricultural production, such as tractors, combines, fertilizer spreaders, seed tenders, and irrigation equipment. Operate towed machines to plant, cultivate, harvest and store crops: such as seed drills or to plant, fertilize, dust, and spray crops. Attach and operate farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine and sugar beet harvesting equipment. Service and operate irrigation equipment. Drive trucks to haul crops, supplies, tools, or farm workers. Repair and maintain field roads and mow ditches. Maintain and adjust grain handling system. Operate current agricultural technology. Clean and organize work areas and maintain grounds and property. Clean, service, operate and wash equipment and machinery. General seasonal farm duties, as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a Class D driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employers' expense due to the liability of operating equipment. Prior to being hired, must pass criminal background check, at employers' expense. Due to housing requirements, the presence of children on the farm, and expensive tools and equipment. No major driving violations within the last 5 years. No minor driving violations within last 2 years. Alcohol intoxication is not allowed. Reporting to work or working under the influence of any alcohol is strictly prohibited. No illegal drug use. No use of marijuana in any form. No smoking or vaping of any kind. Random drug screenings may be performed. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Illegal activity, being arrested, and/or violence or threats of violence may result in termination of employment. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
