NANA Regional Corporation Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Lead/Technical Inspector in Fort Cavazos, Texas
Wolverine is hiring a Motor Vehicle Mechanic, Lead/Technical Inspector to support the EAGLE LSS contract in Fort Cavazos, TX.
Responsibilities
The Motor Vehicle Mechanic Lead/Technical Inspector repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, buses, trucks, or tractors. Work involves most of the following:
Diagnosing the source of trouble and determining the extent of repairs required; replacing worn or broken parts such as piston rings, bearings, or other engine parts; grinding and adjusting valves; rebuilding carburetors; overhauling transmissions; and repairing fuel injection, lighting, and ignition systems.
In general, the work of the Motor Vehicle Mechanic Lead/Technical Inspector requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent.
Identification as LEAD, adds administrative duties to the standard labor category. Administrative duties include personnel accountability, timekeeping, drafting and submitting reports, creating a safety culture, and enforcing company/contract requirements and standards.
Identification as a Technical Inspector adds administrative and quality assurance duties to the standard labor category. Administrative duties include aiding Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Manager, and/or Quality Manager to ensure services provided are to standard.
This is accomplished through inspection of work in progress, work performed, and records.
This position involves working both indoors and outdoors. Work environment includes periodic overtime, exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 5+ years tactical or commercial equipment maintenance experience.
Must be knowledgeable in U.S. Army maintenance procedures and AR 750-1.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.
Must be able to receive a favorable Tier-1 Investigation and obtain/maintain a CAC.
Must be able to bring and use your own tools.
Must have a minimum High School Diploma / GED.
Must have the physical stamina (but not limited to) to lift 60 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching.
Desired Qualifications:
ASE Certification a plus!
CDL Preferred.
Valid Driver’s License a plus!
U.S. Army 91 series MOS qualification or civilian equivalent.
Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly compensation: $23.67
