Robert Half DevOps Engineering Manager in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Engineering Manager in FORT WASHINGTON, Pennsylvania, United States. This role is in the technology industry, where you will manage and mentor a team of DevOps, Systems, and Network engineers, ensuring alignment between development and operations teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and guide a team of DevOps, Systems, and Network engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

• Implement and manage DevOps strategies, such as CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing frameworks.

• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of IT systems and oversee the company's disaster recovery planning process.

• Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks to optimize infrastructure and application delivery.

• Facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams, ensuring alignment on goals and processes.

• Oversee the setup and maintenance of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) for application deployment including but not limited to: maintaining inventory, standardization, capacity, and upgrade planning.

• Drive automation initiatives to streamline software build, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.

• Lead incident response teams to quickly identify and resolve production issues.

• Conduct post-mortem analysis to identify the root cause of system outages, performance problems, or security incidents and prevent future occurrences.

• Implement, maintain and ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance regulations related to data protection and system integrity. Requirements • Proven experience with Amazon EC2.

• Proficiency in Ansible for configuration management and application deployment.

• Knowledge of Apache ANT+ tools and their application in software development.

• Demonstrable experience managing Apache Tomcat web server.

• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking.

• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Proven abilities in automation techniques and tools.

• Broad knowledge of AWS technologies and their application in DevOps.

• Experience in cluster analysis for troubleshooting purposes.
