Robert Half Part Time Controller in Fremont, California
Description
We are offering a Part time (30 Hours) Interim Controller opportunity for a client of ours in Fremont, California. You will serving as the internal finance leader and managing all financial activities. This role involves overseeing day to day accounting, financial oversight and managing a team of 4.
Responsibilities
• Analyze financial data and present reports in a timely manner, updating the leadership team on the financial status of the organizations.
• Serve as the main point of contact for banking relationships and auditors, ensuring all audit issues are resolved and compliance is met.
• Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide leadership for and direct management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger employees.
• Oversee all financial, project/program, and grant accounting, ensuring expenditures align with grant and program budgets.
• Assist in the annual budgeting and planning process, review all financial plans, and correct variances as appropriate.
• Maintain the agency's accounting systems for optimum efficiency and capacity, controlling system access and permissions.
• Review and approve federal and state surveys and tax returns.
• Use Sage Intacct software for various accounting functions.
Requirements
• Previous experience working for a non profit is highly preferred
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Proficient in handling accounting operations.
• Expertise in Auditing
• In-depth understanding of Budget Processes
• Ability to efficiently manage Month End Close
• Experience with Grant Accounting is preferred
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct is preferred
