CITY OF FULTON Summer Maintenance Worker I in Fulton, Missouri

POSITION OVERVIEW
Assists with the maintenance of City property in a safe and efficient manner.
- Starting: May 1st through August 1st
- Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
Must be 16 years or older to perform the work required.
Must pass pre-employment drug testing and submit to periodic drug testing as required by applicable laws.
Be willing to work outside on regular basis.
Valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
Basic procedures, tools and equipment used in grounds, building construction, maintenance, and/or custodial duties is desirable.

FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions
- Performs general labor as needed which may include mowing, weed eating, digging, sweeping, painting, dusting, waxing, painting curbs and streets, putting up signage, concrete and asphalt, etc.
- Maintains equipment as instructed by supervisor and replaces tools and equipment when finished.
- Keeps supervisor advised as to status of all projects assigned assuring for timeliness.
- Ensures that all safety equipment procedures and gear are used at all appropriate times.
- Deals with the public in a positive manner.
- Responds to requests by immediate supervisor in an accurate, complete and timely manner.
